Model 2DESCRIPTION
Serving as an integral part of a remote maintenance system, the Crytycal(i)® is fully compatible with the IRISnGEN Alarms Management software and the Enterprise(i) family of SNMP management devices. The Crytycal(i) effectively interfaces with any management information system for applications such as alarm monitoring and reporting, telephone call accounting and traffic data collection, toll fraud detection, and access security. The Crytycal(i) is an advanced data collection alarm monitoring, and event reporting device. It is compatible with most telephone systems, voice mail systems, interactive voice response (IVR) systems, multiplexers, and a variety of other electronic equipment. Any source of data that has an RS232C interface can be a Host system to a Crytycal(i) and benefit from the Crytycal(i)’s remarkable flexibility. Basic Data Collection The most basic function of the Crytycal(i) is to accept and store data generated by the Host system to which it is connected. This host can be a PBX, and the data can be call detail records, traffic statistics or the results from the PBX self diagnostic routines. Because the Crytycal(i) is fully solid state, operates completely unattended, and has built in battery backup, the reliability of data collection and storage is unexcelled. Automatic Data Screening Although the Crytycal(i) operates independently of the host device data type, its tremendous flexibility allows it toreact to specific host conditions and data streams with customized responses. Changing conditions trigger reactions ranging from simple data storage to real time message delivery to the maintenance center. Remote Reporting Event recording and data accumulation are just the beginning. The Crytycal(i) can be remotely polled to forward collected data on demand. Better yet, the Crytycal(i) can originate telephone calls and deliver messages to as many as three different numbers, including pagers. Contact Sensors Sensing circuitry in the Crytycal(i) detects contact closures and openings. This allows monitoring of environmental conditions, equipment room access, or any other condition that triggers physical contacts. Such events are screened and evaluated by the Crytycal(i) and reported accordingly Multiple Host Capability Available in two and four port models, the Crytycal(i) supports multiple host devices. For example, a four port Crytycal(i) is able to collect data from a complete business telephone installation consisting of a PBX system, a voice mail system, an IVR system, and a multiplexer. The Crytycal(i) provides selective transparent access to each system, complete with speed translation. The benefits of such an arrangement are tremendous: elimination of modems, a reduction in telephone lines, and most importantly, a central point of secure access to all monitored equipment. Modem Options The Crytycal(i) is available with a built-in modem or without a modem. Internal modems can support transmission speeds up to 14,000 BPS with error correction and data compression. Advanced Interactive Dialog More than just the best data collection device available, the Crytycal(i) can “talk back” to the host system. Using a dialogue script , this amazing device can request data from its Host, interpret the meaning, and respond withappropriate host control commands to correct faults or clear alarms — all without human intervention. |
