This machine was originally designed for CD & DVD Destruction. It has a unique cutter block designed for heavy plastics, light metal, and is uniquely suited to destroy many current era solid state and security devices. The cutter block is no longer made, so get one of these while you can.LOOK at the particle size - 2.2 x 4mm. Compare it to other solid state device shredders being made for flash drives and SSD's today that are in the $14,000 price range.....such as the Intimus FlashEX SSD Shredder / Multimedia Office Shredder. This is not only much lower cost, it is HEAVIER DUTY, provides a smaller particle size and has more horsepower.

Overview
The HSM 411.2 OMDD / Datastroyer 103-DVD high security DVD and CD shredder is NSA approved and meets NSA/CSS specification 04-02 for optical media. It has government approved GSA pricing available. This oil-free multimedia shredder is equipped with a standby mode, a pull-out system for replacing the residue bag, a motor designed for extended periods of use, and of course the ability to shred CDs, DVDs, and even credit cards and ID badges.
The Datastroyer 103-DVD high security optical media shredder has a large 16" throat size and a residue size of 2.2 mm x 4 mm. It has a standby operation that does not consume energy, and a motor that is specifically adjusted and thermally protected for long periods of use. This level 6 multimedia shredder does not require oil which cuts down on maintenance and costs. These NSA approved high security shredders destroy CDs and DVDs to spec and will accept credit cards and ID badges for general destruction.
